Looks like there’s an event I could compete in! A press release from GGL Global Gaming announces a Digital Game tournament in connection with the Olympics.
All of us at GGL are pleased to announce that GGL has been appointed the official partner and co-producer for making videogames an official 鈥淲elcome Event鈥 of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
Gamers at all skill levels will be able to compete for the opportunity to represent their country in a global tournament hosted by GGL. The tournament will culminate with a Grand Finals event held in Shanghai.
GGL Chairman Ted Owen called the Digital Games 鈥渢he ultimate elevation of gaming and the culture of gaming to the world stage.鈥
Too bad for me, the games will be held in Shanghai.
