Samuel Kamau Wansiru of Kenya smashed the previous Men’s Marathon Olympic record with a timing of two hours and 6.32 minutes. Jaouad Gharib from Morocco settled for silver with two hours and 7.16 minutes. Tsegay Kebede from Ethiopia had bronze with 2 hours and 10 minutes.
