Weightlifting, Women’s 48kg Final, Chen Xiexia Of China First, Breaks Record [Weightlifting]

The Women’s under 48kg was staged at BUAA Gymnasium with 14 excellent women weightlifters.
Chen Xiexia of China succeeded in 95kg Snatch and 117kg in the Clean and Jerk for a total of 212kg. She grabbed the first Olympic Gold for China and broke Olympic record. Turkey’s Sibel Ozkan came second, Chen Wei-Ling of Chinese Taipei got third.
