China’s CCTV5 Becomes The Olympics Channel For Beijing 2008
Technology, Business, News July 20th, 2007

China Central Television (CCTV), China’s largest national TV network, will have its sports channel, CCTV5, transform into a 24/7 Olympics channel starting from 1st January 2008.
The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games will open in August 8th 2008 and close on August 24th 2008. During the 17 days of competition, 2500 hours of sports programmes will air. That is 1,000 more hours of broadcasting than during the 2004 Athens Olympics.
A dedicated Olympics channel is a surefire way to attract sports buffs, advertisers and money.
I wish I can be a robot (or the Duracell bunny) during the Beijing Olympics 2008 and watch CCTV5 on the internet 24/7.
