China, the host of Summer Olympics 2008, is thinking to bid for the Winter Olympics 2018. The officials are pretty optimistic of the chances to play host for the Winter Games.

“With the improvement of the living conditions of the Chinese people and the performance of the athletes, I believe the day (host of the Winter Olympics) will come pretty soon,” He Zhenliang, honorary president of the Chinese Olympic Committee.

No other Asian countries other than Japan has hosted the Winter Games. I wish South Korea will win the bid for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
